Introducing Daring Way ™
“Be the reason someone smiles today.”
What is The Daring Way ™ ?
Life challenges us to Show Up, Be Seen and Live Brave™. It requires the ability to be vulnerable with ourselves, our friends and family and the communities we live in.
The Daring Way ™ is right for you if you are:
- Feeling stuck in your life, relationships, career, or overall personal growth
- Tired of the self-doubts, fears, and insecurities that hold you back and make you feel not enough
- Find it hard to speak your truth, ask for what you need, or set healthy boundaries with others
- Exhausted from trying to be all things to all people
- Wanting to embrace a wholehearted life, filled with gratitude,
joy, and love
- Familiar with Dr. Brené Brown’s books or TED talks, and interested to learn more about how to apply her concepts to your own life
Who is Brené Brown?
Dr. Brené Brown is a research professor at the University of Houston Graduate College of Social Work. She has spent the past fifteen years studying vulnerability, courage, worthiness, and shame. Her groundbreaking research has been featured on PBS, NPR, CNN, The Katie Show, and Oprah Winfrey’s Super Soul Sunday.
Brené is author of 2 #1 Best Sellers, Daring Greatly: How the Courage to Be Vulnerable Transforms the way we Live, Love, Parent and Lead (Gotham, 2012) and Rising Strong (Penguin, 2015).
In Daring Greatly Brené dispels the cultural myth that vulnerability is weakness and argues that it is, in truth, our most accurate measure of courage. Fast Company Magazine named Daring Greatly one of the top ten business books of 2012.
In Rising Strong we learn that if we are brave enough long enough, we will fall. Brené tells us what it takes to get back up, and how owning our stories of disappointment, failure, and heartbreak gives us the power to write a daring new ending. Struggle, Brené Brown writes, can be our greatest call to courage, and rising strong our clearest path to deeper meaning, wisdom, and hope.
Brené’s 2010 TEDx Houston talk, The Power of Vulnerability, is one of the top ten most viewed TED talks in the world, with over 10 million viewers. Additionally, Brené gave the closing talk at the 2012 TED conference where she talked about shame, courage, and innovation
